Dear young man,

Would you be free to tell me what you mean by saying that you are "born again"?

Your brother in Christ,

John

Dear "live_4_christ",

You will get good advise and excellent thoughts on this topic from others. I humbly share my few thoughts as I know, with you. I would like to make it clear that I will not discuss any more on this topic. It is hard for me to type here, the entire message that I have on my web site; nevertheless, I desire that you visit this web page which might help you.

http://www.lesliejohn.net/deliverancefromsin.htm

Here are few excerpts from my web page:

" A considerable percentage of youth from Christians believe that watching pornography is not sin. The youth start as casual watching or casual reading and then get addicted to this sin. For many adults it starts as fantasy and a casual watch that ends up in breaking relations with married partner".

"The basic message pornography conveys is"...

"the legally married life-partner is less potent than the porn-star".

Dear friend,

Always think something good, something about Bible and what Jesus did for you. It will help you to get rid of bad thoughts pestering your mind.

In Christian love,
Leslie John

Dear young man,
In which area are you seeking help?

What do you mean when you ask for help for your vain dreaming, laziness & carnality? A lecture on Christian virtues,a few scriptural passages?

You have diagnosed your problems; you seem to know the remedies also. But if you are looking for qiick fixes and easy solutions, sorry; there are none.

Dear young brother,

Thank you for your reply to my question. I accept fully that by your own testimony you have accepted Christ as your Saviour. The purpose of my original post was to enquire what you understand by being born again in its practical application to your life, thoughts and aspirations. If you would like to consider this enquiry and reply after giving the matter some thought, the discussion might be very helpful, not only to you but to others who are frank enough to examine themselves in the way that you are doing.

Your brother in Christ,

John

Dear young brother,

Thank you for replying. I am pleased at your words. Could you please go back to my post of 30th July and consider it. If you would answer the enquiry that I made there we could perhaps get some help together on the matter.

Your brother in Christ,

John

born again means .iam born into a new family;that is the family of God.where God is my Father and iam his son.a son adopted by his grace. when iam born in His family i get a new nature which is like God sinless but at the same time the old nature is still within me.as the new natue wants to do good works the old nature wants to do bad works.

Dear 'live_4_christ,'

I apologize for not replying your call for help earlier. As Brother John Miller is engaged with you, I think not to disrupt your communication.

I have only one question, at his time. A year or so ago, a person with a similar ID raised a similar problem on this Forum. Are you the asame person? I hope not.

Shalom Malekim!!!

Dear live 4 Christ,

I feel guilty at not being able to give you my time in this discussion. I will do my utmost to set aside a period later today to post a reply.

Please forgive my tardiness which is due to various pressures making demands on my time at present.

Dear brother "Live 4 Christ",

Thank you for your patience. The reason that I asked you to say what you understood by being born again was that I believe it is the key to resolving the issues in your life that are causing you distress.

According to John ch.1 you have "received" Christ and therefore have been given the "right to be called" a child of God. This is a most wonderful truth, unknown and unknowable for one who has no personal relationship with Jesus Christ. As you have observed rightly, you have come into a new relationship that owes nothing to nature but everything to divine grace. The question that I would affectionately put to you now is this. Do you recognise that with the exalted nature of your new relationship to the High and Holy One, the Eternal God, comes not only priviledge but also responsibility? What would the standard of thoughts, behaviour, and demeanour be, that would be commensurate with who you are as a child of God?

May I ask you to reflect on that and post your reply in due course?

Your brother in Christ,

John

Forgive me if I am breaking a posting etiquette here. But I was just reading the story of the prodigal son and I think in its literal sense, that story has a lot of relevance here and answers your questions in many ways.
