# 02004 :  Babies of believers during Rapture

 Hi All,

I was having this doubt in my mind for some time now. Thought of posting it in this forum and see if anyone could give me an answer based on the SCriptures.

What happens to the babies of Born-again Believers who will be raptured if Chirst comes today ?? The reason I ask only about the babies of Believers is because I understand that during rapture, only the church will be taken up and the world  will continue to go through the Tribulation. So the non-believers will still continue to live on this earth. So what will happen to the babies of ppl who have been taken up ?? Will they also be taken up or will the babies go through the tribulation period?? If the babies go through the tribulation then will they survive it ?? Please give an explantion that can be based on the SCriptures.

Thanks

Dear ‘silentobserver,’

As you are looking for an answer from the Scriptures, I invite you to look into the Scriptures, along with others and me.

At the rapture, all those who are in Christ will be taken from this world to be with Christ forever. This includes the Bride and the friends of the Bridegroom. Who are the friends of the Bridegroom? I hope that you will search the Scriptures.

We read in 1 Corinthians 10:11, “Now all these things happened to them as types and have been written for our admonition, …” In the light of this verse, what is written about the children who were part of the children of Israel when they left Egypt? What about the children who were born to the children of Israel in the wilderness? Please search the Scriptures and post your findings.

Those children of Israel were types for us to study. This should provide the answer to your question from the Scriptures.

Shalom Malekim!!!

Probably this is a very old question, leading to the practice of child baptism.

Recently, in our bible class this subject came up and the teacher told that at rapture our babes would be left out as they are not part of the church. Further it was told that they can be saved during the tribulation period as the word of God still available.

A sister who attended the bible class was worried for her 2 year old son and told me that if her child is going to be left orphan, she is afraid of rapture.

What consolation do we have in this regard from the scripture, from our blessed God, “ even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; “

Babies of Born again Believers are no different from babies of un-believers.

What is the difference between the “babies” born of believers from the babes of unbelievers?

What will happen to the babies of unbelievers? Is there any Biblical reference?

If some babies are taken up during rapture, would any baby be left behind at rapture as “all babies” are alike; whether born to believers or unbelievers?

Which is the verse that reveals the rapture of the “friends” of the Bridegroom?. Shall all the babies be considered as “friends” of the Bridegroom?

Dear brethren in Christ,

The scriptures says like this, in Mathew Ch:19

The Little Children and Jesus

13Then little children were brought to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them.

14Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." 15When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there.

Yours in Christ

Sam

When David’s child died, the child was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom. David comforted himself saying “I shall go to him” (2 Sam 12:23)

After writing about rapture, we are exhorted “wherefore comfort one another with these words” (1 Thess 4:18). The message about rapture was to comfort, not to terrify. It is “the word of his grace”

During exodus from Egypt, the babes of the children of Israel were not left to Pharaoh who had once ordered “if it be a son, then ye shall kill him”. In rapture, will our babes be left to Antichrist, then how can we “comfort one another with these words”.

It is hugely disturbing, disheartening and disconcerting to consider that some of my loving colleagues of many years, very good neighbors and caring uncles and aunts will be left to the Antichrist at rapture.

I draw comfort from the below verses from Jonah.

JNH 4:10 But the LORD said, "You have been concerned about this vine, though you did not tend it or make it grow. It sprang up overnight and died overnight. 11 But Nineveh has more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left, and many cattle as well. Should I not be concerned about that great city?"

When the Lord is concerned, it will not end up in vain. I consider this passage from Jonah as parallel or shadow of rapture; don’t ask me why.
