Dear Deepu,
My apologies if my posting have not conveyed exactly what I meant and resulted in your misunderstanding .
I didn't question you for visiting a doctor. I was trying to explain about your confusion or worry on the prayer made by a non-believer doctor. We don't know whether he was praying to an idol or not. Had you taken the medicine which the unbeliever doctor gave just as the meat that we eat which is "prayed over" as you mentioned without any worries, there was no problem. We eat the meat without any concern.
My point was that the doctor gave the medicine and he was not confident that the medicine would work. So he prayed to some power above him and the medicine. If it were a believer, we would have gladly received it. Most of us take medcines most of the time trusting in the Lord for the healing.
The other side of my question about our prayer and faith in the Lord. The Lord is our creator and would do wonders in our liives if we earnestly pray.
Now you may pray to our good Lord that the medicine that is administered work in you that your family life be blessed. Our Lord is able to fulfil you and your wife's desire for a child. I also join you in your prayers.
Please donn't be disappointed even if the Lord do not grant your desire. God will help you to fulfil His purpose in your family life for His glory.
[Deepu God is sovereign and hears prayers of all. We don't know whom he answers and/or answers not. We know that God granted the desire of Satan also to "touch Job". We are unable to understand it.]
