Is the teaching that the SON IS ETERNALLY BEGOTTEN OF THE FATHER Scriptural?

What is your view, if any contrary to this concept?

Dear 'wigram,'

If it is a teaching, could you provide the verses that are used to establish that teaching? I assume that you are familiar with that teching.

Shalom Malekim!!!

"Eternal Generation of the Son" is the biblical teaching regarding the distinction between the Father and the Son and this has been affirmed in the Nicene-Constantinopolitan creed (AD 381). If you have any concerns, kindly state the same.

these verses from the gospel of John should answer your question:

John 1:

  1. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
  2. The same was in the beginning with God.
  3. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
  4. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Hope that suffices and also provides you with the answer that Christ is the 'eternal' son of God.
