Dr. George P. Koshy is a great mathematician. He will be able to throw light on this topic. I would try to give an impetus.
Creationists believe that the world is 6000 years old. Let us assume the doubling of the population takes place once in every one hundred and fifty years, (very slack time to guess, of course), the figure 6.5 bilion reaches without any difficulty. Current population according to U.S. Bureau of Census on March 1, 2006 is 6.5 Billion. Noah's family was in 2500 B.C. From then 4500 years is enough of time to get 6.5 billion people.
The guessing can be done this way. Adam+Eve =2 After forty years they become 4; after 80 years the population is 8. Even if we take forty years for doubling the current population is within the believable figure.
Evolutionists are wrong here because according to them 332 doublings would have taken place by now, which works out to more number of people than the total number of atoms in the world.

Thank you very much dear trds for your input and the encouraging words of Bro. Samuel.
This is a basic guess work. But I am looking for information regarding any serious scientific study on this topic. There are numerous parameters and variables that need to be considered for a closer inference.
I think we need to consider this only from the time of Noah after the deluge.
Comments, feed back, ideas and information are welcome.
I don't think you will get any work out on this board. However, I can suggest to look at this following link where the population is worked scientifically from Adam until now, and Noah until Jesus. If you take little pains you can yourself work out from Noah until now
