Is it Biblical practice to do the Lord's Table when people gather together like Bible studies and all , not sundays ? Our people doing the Lord's table in the un official meetings like Keralite brethrens in U.K ,Ireland & U.S gathering in any day and celibrating Lord's Table. I think it is not Biblical practice,People thimking this verses is in Bible "Do it whenever you gather". this verse is not in Bible.
1 Cori 11.17 -29 ,It is an official commandment of the Appostle to Church at Corinthians.
Our King and Lord Jesus gave two Royal rituals are Baptism and Lord's Table to do the church in presence of Elders and decons.
So if we are not considering Lords Table is not an official meeting, it is un Biblical and Practising against God's program.
Acts 20.7 "On the first day of the week , when we were gathered to brek bread..........". In Greek language it is used in Customery Present Tens ,which giving the sence that" Strictly to do on this day only".
Our Bretheren practicing Lord's Table as they like any day. It is bad.
also I would like to add a further question with this, that is, just some time back, someone had given the website adress of assemblies in the holy land, and the first assembly in the list there (in that website) stated that they observe the Lord's table on saturdays (not sundays), (if my memory doesn't failme, ofcourse). Is it ok to observe Lord's Supper on any other day other than Sunday? I assume the brother, who innitiated the post meant Lord's Supper, as he reffered to it as Lord's Table, thus I hope I'm not breaking the thread... I hope to hear what you think... yours in Christ, Tinka
